Teaching
I teach inverse problems and learning from data, engineering machine learning, dynamical systems and mathematical modelling at the University of Auckland. I have also taught agentic AI tools as part of an ‘Applied AI for Engineers’ course.
Some of my teaching material on these topics, as well as differential equations, probability and Markov processes, is available in the open learning material repository.
Revision games
- Gradient Surfers — ENGSCI 205: machine learning and PyTorch revision in a running game.
- Regularisation Run — ENGSCI 721: a snowboarding game for revising inverse problems and regularisation.
I also work on tools for using coding agents in scientific computing and teaching.
